The CS-LITE+ with SpectraCOLOR does not utilize high-CRI broad-spectrum LEDs nor tri-color RGB LEDs, which emit problematic cyan-crossover (475-525mn) and yellow-crossover (570-610nm) wavelengths - transmitting the color dyes of film to the wrong color channels on a Bayer filter (or similar) sensor - which create color contamination and crosstalk. Conventional RGB LEDs do not have high enough tolerances for the precision of SpectraCOLOR, causing color crossover when scanning film. The CS-LITE+ uses high-efficiency single-band LEDs, then transforms a single-narrowband emission into separateultra-narrowband multispectral wavelengths.
